Album "Faith in the Storm"

Bright light

Description

I work in digital photography, focusing on landscapes, skies, and silhouettes that use natural light and color to mark moments of transition. My practice centers on images made with a camera and tempered by careful editing—nothing flashy, just attention to timing, composition, and how a palette can shift a mood.

I'm drawn to thresholds: dusk falling, branches stripped to line, color folding into quiet. Those scenes convey the slow work of recovery, the steady presence of faith, and the private narratives that shaped me growing up between North and South Carolina. My photographs portray that tension between fragility and persistence—how ordinary horizons can reveal continuity and change at once.

I make photographs the way I tell stories in other parts of my life: with clarity, restraint, and an eye for detail. I rely on available light, silhouette to simplify form, and color to suggest feeling. My background in digital marketing informs how I frame images for both intimate spaces and broader audiences; each piece is meant to function as a visual line in a larger story rather than as an isolated statement.

Ultimately, my work expresses what I live — recovery, faith, memory — and offers visual pauses where those threads meet. I’m interested in images that quietly reveal rather than demand, that present a place where a viewer might recognize their own shifts and continue forward with a bit more calm.
